The Teacher Training Faculty will offer a study program of the 2nd cycle; which will lead to a master program in the field of Albanian Language and Literature.
I. General Description
The program of the 2nd cycle Albanian
Language and Literature Studies by the Teacher Training
Faculty refers to the skills, knowledge and competences
in the field of Albanian Studies. The program includes professional
and academic competences with a possibility to stress either
of the two aspects through available options of a type and
area that the students will be able to focus on later.
The aim of this program is to train the students with a
fair basis in the linguistic and methodological theory,
and to introduce them with the skills that are required
for allying theory in practical teaching.
The focusing selections due to the teaching plans and the individual subject which are included directly reflect the general nature of studying a second language. In accordance with the clear and sincere recognition of the local and regional teaching needs and realities. There is also a research component (qualitative, quantitative), academic, as well as “modern research” which will be held in the classroom itself.
II. Results of the studies
Those that will post-graduate in SEEU in Albanian Language
and Literature will gain a very valuable diploma. Not only
because this program is shaped according to the best international
master programs, yet is still adjusted according to the
regional needs and situations, it is expected to have a
great demands for those who will graduate, not only to teach
but also to help in training the coming teacher generations
in Albanian Language and Literature. The international nature
of the diploma should also be taken into consideration,
it will increase the chances of the graduates to get employer
in international organizations in the country and abroad,
and will also qualify them in future acceptance in doctoral
in doctoral programs in the filed of Albanian Language and
Literature.
III. Course and Teaching Plan Description
The 2nd Cycle Program in Albanian Language and Literature
will be consisted of 90 (EKTS) credits and will be thought
regularly in periods of 3 semesters(30 credits each). The
program is consisted of compulsory, elective courses and
special studies( practical and research activities) and
work on the thesis
The student him\her self creates his\her own program in the field of the above mentioned profiles through choosing elective courses, the thesis topic i.e. and advisors (tutors) for the thesis.

Application Criteria
Together with the general application criterions in the 2nd cycle study program provided by the SEEU, the candidate for this program should fulfill the following criterions :
1.) Bachelors Degree , or a diploma of the Albanian Language and Literature gained in the 1st cycle, or a diploma of a similar program
2.) Great knowledge of the Albanian Language
3.) To know some of the contemporary European Languages
4.) A positive opinion of the acceptance committee ( students with degrees in other fields might be needed to enter some exams from the bachelor degree studies)
